Director of Digital Content
Position Overview

Citizen seeks a strategic and digital media-savvy Director of Digital Content to oversee and elevate Citizen’s brand presence online in addition to developing and executing a comprehensive digital content strategy to promote Citizen’s work, which includes survey research, analysis, audiences, and other actionable insights across Citizen’s diverse and cross-partisan issue set. You’re the right person for this role if you’re passionate about working across differences to bridge divides, and equally skilled at digital content creation and marketing strategy. 

In this role, you’ll manage Citizen’s brand presence across website, social media, email marketing, virtual events, and more. You’ll also work closely with Citizen’s internal data, growth, and operations teams to develop a unique digital content strategy to distribute and promote Citizen’s work with the goal of raising brand awareness among key audiences — including stakeholders, thought leaders, members of the media, and potential partners — and generating new business development opportunities.

Role responsibilities: 

  • Supervise and manage all digital activities including Citizen website, social media, email marketing, and virtual events
  • Develop and execute a robust digital content strategy to distribute and promote Citizen’s work among key audiences 
  • Collaborate with internal data, growth, and operations teams to ensure Citizen’s goals and priorities are reflected in all digital marketing activity
  • Support Citizen executive leadership in defining Citizen’s brand and online voice
  • Generate and present digital marketing reports and analyses for feedbackOther duties as assigned

Job requirements:

  • 5-7 years’ experience in digital marketing, social media management, and/or content strategy
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and executing upon a comprehensive digital content strategy
  • Proficient in managing website design/strategy

Product Marketing Manager
Position Overview

Citizen seeks a strategic, experienced, and motivated Product Marketing Manager to manage the distribution and marketing of a suite of recently-developed data and analytics products. The products, which are focused on empowering non-profit, policy, and political organizations to run more effective programs, include innovative political research and audience insights across the partisan spectrum.

You’re the right person for this role if you are skilled at project management, have experience successfully marketing products, and are passionate about civic tech and social impact. In this role, you’ll collaborate with our team to develop a go-to-market strategy for this product set, then execute upon it. We’ll look to you to identify opportunities to market our product among potential Citizen partners, investors, and stakeholders, tailoring messages and solutions accordingly. Working alongside our public relations support, you’ll also work to elevate insights from the product in the media to drive key narratives.

This role is a 6-month contract position with the potential to evolve into a full-time role. Citizen is a rapidly-growing company, and during the course of the project, our product needs may change. You’re the right person for this role if you’re passionate about democracy and skilled at building strategic partnerships, marketing, business development, and account management.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for expanding Citizen Data’s impact within the voting and elections communities, assessing and strategically identifying partnership opportunities. We’ll look to you to build a network of aligned, mission-driven groups while elevating awareness of Citizen’s impact and capabilities to improve voting and elections. You’ll need to be adept at qualifying new opportunities, as well as conceptualizing Citizen-led projects to drive impact in 2022 and beyond.
