Data Manager

Citizen Data seeks a highly organized and entrepreneurial Data Manager to manage Citizen Data’s growing cloud database and infrastructure, aggregate and process big and disparate datasets, and optimize performance to ensure analytics are accurate and available on-demand.

The ideal candidate will have experience with cloud architecture or data engineering experience as well as strong data manipulation and data analysis skills. The Data Manager collaborates with Citizen Data Analysts and Scientists to help manage and organize Citizen’s databases and to prepare, clean, and generate insights from incoming and existing data.

The Data Manager will be an early, founding member of the Citizen data capability, and will be expected to contribute at a strategic level as much as a technical one.

Role responsibilities:

  • Ingest, organize and clean first-party, research, and external datasets
  • Oversee and grow Citizen’s database built on AWS cloud infrastructure, including access control and governance
  • Innovate data management solutions that help Citizen grow and scale
  • Manage and integrate API-based data streams to our existing storage infrastructure
  • Monitor ETL scripts for errors and find areas for improvements
  • Review new data processing, storage, and analysis tools to recommend to the broader team as Citizen pilots new products and methodologies

Job requirements:

  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Proficiency with data analysis packages in Python
  • Proficiency and experience with SQL
  • Experience with AWS or cloud computing services preferred
  • Experience with R a plus
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau a plus
  • Familiarity with a wide variety of data sources, including databases, public or private APIs and standard data formats a plus

Role responsibilities

  • Collaborate with data, product, and design team members to plan and develop our portfolio of highly usable and visually appealing data-centric web applications
  • Participate in design sessions and requirements gathering for new initiatives 
  • Assist with UX/UI design in creating quality mock-ups, wireframes, and prototypes 
  • Lead efforts to continuously improve usability by gathering feedback and conducting user testing

Director of Growth

Citizen seeks an experienced Director of Growth to lead and oversee our product-driven company’s business development and account management functions. This candidate will develop a robust and comprehensive growth capability pipeline, and is responsible for sourcing, maintaining, and deepening Citizen relationships from a sales and revenue perspective. The Director of Growth will support Citizen’s executive leadership team in defining and executing upon a clear vision for Citizen’s overall growth strategy and quickly-expanding business portfolio.

Role responsibilities

  • Work with Citizen Chief Revenue Officer and executive leadership team to set and execute a clear growth strategy for Citizen — creating CMAs, establishing a diverse and robust portfolio, and setting clear metrics to evaluate success including tracking outreach, leads, opportunities and revenue
  • Lead and oversee Citizen business development and account management functions, introducing and implementing the right tools, processes, systems, and procedures to generate, cultivate, and maintain relationships with partners and securing sales by helping partners understand how Citizen can support them
  • Field partner requests; design, draft, and distribute proposals leaning on other internal teams as needed
  • Manage teams in the future, developing direct reports and coaching them to success
  • Assist in defining and adjusting price points and subscription models for Citizen products and services by working with Citizen’s Chief Operating Officer and Partner Success function to track and analyze project P&Ls and competitor pricing
  • Support Citizen marketing efforts, working hand-in-hand with the Citizen executive leadership team and Director of Digital Content
  • Serve as a leader in supporting Citizen leadership broadly with high-level company strategy
  • Represent Citizen to partners, stakeholders, and investors, as well as at conferences, events, and other forward-facing activities

Job requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

Partner Development Associate

Citizen seeks a highly motivated, organized, and entrepreneurial strategist to serve as its Partner Development Associate.
