Community Manager (Center-Right)
Position Overview

Citizen seeks a strategic and highly motivated Community Manager to identify, cultivate, and grow a portfolio of partner relationships within the center-right community. You’re the right person for this role if you’re passionate about building strategic partnerships and possess a unique combination of business development and marketing acumen, account management skills, and subject matter expertise.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for expanding Citizen Data’s impact within the ideological right, assessing and strategically identifying partnership opportunities. We’ll look to you to build a network of aligned center-right organizations while elevating awareness of Citizen’s impact and capabilities. You’ll need to be adept at qualifying new opportunities, as well as conceptualizing Citizen-led projects to drive impact toward Citizen’s goals.

Role Objectives

  • Develop and execute center-right growth and outreach strategy

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 5-7 years’ experience in business development, account management, strategic partnerships, and/or external affairs 
  • Demonstrated experience and relationships within center-right or conservative movement 
  • Ability to identify data and analytics gaps and opportunities within the center-right community
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent at verbal and written communication
  • Careful, methodical, organized, and detail-oriented project management style
  • Collaborative team player
  • Background knowledge of digital, data, and/or advocacy efforts preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and expand knowledge quickly

Product Marketing Manager
Position Overview

Citizen seeks a strategic, experienced, and motivated Product Marketing Manager to manage the distribution and marketing of a suite of recently-developed data and analytics products. The products, which are focused on empowering non-profit, policy, and political organizations to run more effective programs, include innovative political research and audience insights across the partisan spectrum.

You’re the right person for this role if you are skilled at project management, have experience successfully marketing products, and are passionate about civic tech and social impact. In this role, you’ll collaborate with our team to develop a go-to-market strategy for this product set, then execute upon it. We’ll look to you to identify opportunities to market our product among potential Citizen partners, investors, and stakeholders, tailoring messages and solutions accordingly. Working alongside our public relations support, you’ll also work to elevate insights from the product in the media to drive key narratives.

This role is a 6-month contract position with the potential to evolve into a full-time role. Citizen is a rapidly-growing company, and during the course of the project, our product needs may change. The ideal candidate for this position will be a utility player with a hunger to learn and evolve alongside our team, potentially diving into other product rollouts in the future.

Role responsibilities: 

  • Project manage distribution and marketing of data and analytics products
  • Conceptualize and execute product marketing roadmaps and campaigns
  • Identify opportunities to elevate and raise awareness of products
  • Collaborate with Citizen team to package product in an accessible and marketable way
  • Interface with Citizen partners, stakeholders, and investors regarding products
  • Assist Citizen PR team as needed
  • Work in a cross-functional manner across Citizen’s teams
  • Other duties as assigned

Job requirements:

  • 5-7 years’ experience in product market management and/or product-related project management
  • Proven ability to develop strategic marketing campaigns and go-to-market roadmaps
  • Passion about civic tech and social impact
  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • Background knowledge of data and analytics preferred
  • Demonstrated understanding of the current political landscape and the role Citizen products will play in defining it
