The State of Elections: Post-Midterm Breakdown February 6, 2023
Throughout December and January, More Perfect, Issue One, and Citizen Data collaborated on a webinar series about the implications of the 2022 Midterm Election cycle for trust in American elections.
More than 130 people across the U.S. attended “The State of Elections: Post-Midterm Breakdown,” a series aimed at informing and engaging the cross-partisan community of leaders working to uphold free and fair elections, and surfacing ways to improve the administration of and trust in the 2024 election cycle.
Each webinar leveraged Citizen Data’s latest state-based research on voting behaviors and mis- and disinformation, plus More Perfect and Issue One’s network of practitioners from the field to share analyses on the key battleground states of Georgia and Arizona.
The briefing on trust in Georgia elections featured a discussion with Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, followed by a panel conversation with:
- Greg Bluestein, Senior Political Reporter at the Atlanta Journal-Constitution
- Andra Gillespie, Associate Professor of Political Science at Emory University
- Ben Ginsberg, Co-Chair, Election Official Legal Defense Network
- Andrea Young, Executive Director of the ACLU of Georgia
